This morning, I found myself thinking on a verse that was impact full on me years ago ... seems that those old verses really never get old :)

It was Philippians 1:21 "For me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Simple yet so profound!

Think about it: to live on this earth without Christ is so hopeless to us who know what it means to have Him.

Many times, I've had a conversation with another believer on what life would be like without our Christ in our lives - simply hopeless and horrible! Not one person who knows Him would ever bare to be without! Isn't our God so good that He promises us that He will never leave nor forsake us! It gets better!

The last part says "and to die is gain." Gain what? Everything! Nothing evil and everything good and pure and perfect! Perfect and new bodies, heaven, our saved friends and family who died before us or even die after us, great food ;) , peace, no more pain or tears, etc, etc!

And best of all...Him! To see our Jesus! To spend eternity with the One who saved us from Hell by suffering on the cross! We really gain it all!

Let not one of us who know Jesus as our Savior forget this beautiful truth - He loves us and is coming for us soon! To live is Christ, and to die is gain!
