Greatings from Speculator!
Yes, I'm up in my home town for the next two weeks. And its gorgeous! I had forgotten how beautiful this area of the world is. The Bahamas is beautiful but it hade nothing when I looked at these green hills today. It must have been the Lord that helped me to leave it last September. Everything is so green and beautiful.
I went for a stroll in the back yard; eating raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, and apples as I went along.
There is something so peaceful about these woods that I haven't found anywhere else that I have traveled. Not one power line did I see, nor one car horn honking did I hear.
Stillness is something you can not even buy in Nassau. Even the private islands have their share of boats fulled with tourists and their cameras.
Two days in a row I've been able to sit by the lake in silence and read from 1 Thessalonians 4-5. For those who haven't read that in a bit, it is the passage where Christ's return for us is described.
I just stared into that beautiful
cloudy sky and wondered if He would come today. After all, it does say "then we who re alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air."
We may not know the day He is coming for us but we do know what the weather will be like :)
I was content to remain another day in this beautiful place, and even content to spend the next year in Nassau. I just hope that He does come soon - I just really want to see Jesus more than anyone else.
